Zab Shavrick is a Portland-based multi-media artist and graphic designer specializing in illustration, risograph, watercolor, gouache, natural pigment, tile, and tattoo. They currently run the branding-focused Green Door Studio, and have shown work at One Grand Gallery, Collector Bar and Daydream. They graduated from Parsons School of Design with a degree in communication design and studies in printmaking and fine arts.

Zab’s work plays with the motif of a slightly skewed reality; taking everyday objects, moments, and people and stretching their corners ever so slightly. Because of a frightful memory and a delayed ability to process information around them, they often focus on the colors, textures and senses of moments, memory and spaces, blending their impressions into concept and materiality. Zab’s practice of creative translation ultimately classifies them a visually unreliable narrator.
